Hsinpu dried persimmons boast a century-long history. Hankeng, in particular, due to its geographical environment, is especially arid, and when combined with Hsinchu's unique strong, dry Jioujiang wind, these create the optimal natural conditions for making dried persimmons. We still adhere to the ancient methods of sun exposure, air-drying by the Jioujiang wind, and charcoal grilling, thus preserving the traditional sweet, non-greasy, fragrant, and chewy delicious taste. The sun-drying of persimmons also presents the most beautiful scenery of the autumn harvest. Two persimmon trees are planted on the hillside behind the farm, where visitors can freely explore, photograph, and learn. Wei Wei Jia Dried Persimmon Tourist Farm is renowned for teaching the art of making dried persimmons and for its persimmon fruit ecological education, fully showcasing the persimmon production process. To facilitate ecological educational activities, they even preserve over 200 persimmon trees without harvesting their fruits. Every year after autumn arrives, the mountains are adorned with crimson persimmons. This, combined with the ecological environment—a scene of 'azure skies, yellow leaves' coupled with 'north wind blowing, persimmons red'—makes it the perfect destination for families to visit and deeply experience a persimmon orchard. Additionally, there are fun and interesting activities like persimmon dyeing and making persimmon cloth dolls!
