Tiande Temple

Tiande Temple was jointly funded and built by local military and political figures, as well as wealthy businessmen and celebrities. It is the largest temple of Tiandeism in Taiwan, where the Formless Ancient Buddha is enshrined. Tiandeism reveres the concept of "Dao" (the Way), rather than worshipping human-like idols. Tiande Temple is located on the western side of Songboling. After its renovation, the temple's plaza is a place for flying kites and playing. The ancient trail downhill is also a great spot for nearby residents to exercise in the morning and take strolls in the evening. From the plaza in front of the temple, one can overlook Nanliao Fishing Harbor and a wind power plant, making it an excellent viewpoint widely acclaimed by the public.
