The Jinshi Trail is renowned for its proximity to the famous Jinshi Temple and is situated in Hukou Village. Historically, it served as an important ancient path for transporting agricultural products from Xinpu to Hukou. Originally a narrow, winding track, it was redesigned in June 1997 by the First Engineering Office of the Soil and Water Conservation Bureau into a trail paved with rows of large, round stones. The trail's observation deck is the best place to enjoy the scenery. On clear days, one can gaze north across the expansive Taoyuan Plateau to the Taiwan Strait. In front of Jinshi Temple, there are valleys full of tung trees, which, every late spring and early summer, burst into full bloom, blanketing the area like snow, a truly magnificent spectacle. Jinshi Temple Trail type: Foothill trail. Length: 1.8 kilometers. Surface conditions: Stone steps, flagstones, pebbles, dirt and gravel.
