Visitor Essentials

Feifeng Mountain, with an elevation of 435.5 meters, is the highest peak of Jioucyong Mountain. It gets its name from its shape, which resembles a flying phoenix stretching its neck and about to fold its wings and descend. The mountain is extensively planted with white plum blossoms, azaleas, and flame trees, so its appearance changes with the seasons. Within the mountain area are famous attractions such as Yungue Temple, Daiquan Hall, Ganying Bridge, Xinfeng Pond, and Lotus Pond. As you walk along the tree-shaded trails, a gentle breeze blows, dispelling all the summer heat. The flame trees planted throughout Feifeng Mountain turn a vibrant red everywhere when they bloom in summer. In winter, when plum blossoms are in full bloom, the mountain is covered in white. "Feifeng Tanmei" (Plum Blossom Viewing at Feifeng) has been listed as one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Hsinchu County since ancient times. On the back mountain, there are trails built by the county government for hiking, strolling, and enjoying panoramic views.
