Yuanshan Trail

The Yuanshan Trail is located in the Lion's Head Mountain Scenic Area in Hsinchu County, at the border between Hsinchu and Miaoli, where you can admire vast Moso bamboo forests. Some sections of the trail run along the mountain ridge, earning it the nickname 'Monkey Mountain.' It is one of the more challenging trails in the Lion's Head Mountain area. Accessed from the Tengping Trail, the first half of the trail consists of artificial stairs before transitioning into a natural mountain path. The path is steep, flanked by dense bamboo groves and mixed forests. If you visit during the Tung blossom season, the entire trail is covered with beautiful, snow-white flowers, creating a breathtaking sight.
