The Xinwawu Hakka Culture Preservation Area is a conservation zone for an old settlement. In November 2006, the Hsinchu County Government gratuitously transferred the area to the Hakka Affairs Council. By collaborating with community groups like Zhongxing Community and the Flower Drum Troupe, it promotes traditional Hakka artistic activities. From the perspective of cultural creativity and the knowledge economy, it fosters local cultural and creative industries through the interpretation of traditional Hakka culture. Furthermore, from the perspective of urban development, in addition to serving as a recreational park and green space, it has become the 'Liujia New Downtown,' showcasing local characteristics with its rich and diverse urban values. In December 2010, the Cultural Heritage Section of the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau took up residence. Beyond continuing existing activities, they also strengthened mechanisms for local interaction and participation, aiming to secure more diverse resources and operational models.
