Chike Mountain Trail

Chike Mountain, with an elevation of 454 meters, is located in Yushan Village, Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County. Its summit features a Class 3 triangulation point (No. 4199 benchmark). There are five entrances that lead to the ridge connecting Chike Mountain and Dongshitou Mountain. Chike Mountain is situated west of the Yushan community and is named for the abundant Chike trees on its peaks. The Chike Mountain hiking trail takes approximately 3 hours to complete. The Yushan Fude Temple, located next to the trail entrance, is a Class 3 historic site with over a century of history. The trail offers pleasant scenery, with birds singing and flowers blooming. Looking to the right, you can see the lush green Royal Golf Club. Near the third exit, there is a two-story observation deck. Ascending the viewing platform offers a broad vista with panoramic views of the verdant mountains before you, allowing you to enjoy the physical and mental rejuvenation that comes with ascending to a high vantage point. After this, you can also witness a unique spectacle found only in western Taiwan: the Asia Cement aerial cableway. Watching the cable cars traverse the mountains, transporting raw materials, is a distinctive sight.
