Chao Yin Chan Temple

Chao Yin Chan Temple is located in Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County, and has a history of over a hundred years. Situated at the confluence of the Fengshan River and Niulan River, surrounded by mountains, blessed with picturesque scenery and a spiritual environment that nurtures talent, it is an excellent place for studying and practicing Buddhism. Through the arduous pioneering efforts and meticulous planning, step by step, by generations of patriarchs, it has achieved its current comprehensive scale. Elders from various monasteries and eminent monks frequently visit, and it is destined to become a significant center for Buddhist art. Due to the busy monastic affairs in Thailand of the sixth abbot, Venerable Zhen Dun, who could not manage both, under auspicious circumstances, Master Wu Chan assumed the position of the seventh abbot on December 16, 2007. After his inauguration, Master Wu Chan dedicated himself to planning a better layout for the temple, purchasing land, paving roads, and constructing the 'Other Shore Bridge' to facilitate easy access for devotees from all directions. He also designed a recreational pathway along the riverbank, connecting with the upstream waterfront park, forming a picturesque attraction that aims to develop Guanxi's tourism resources and promote the spirit of Buddhist learning.
