Visitor Essentials
The Tian'en Maitreya Buddhist Academy was founded by Elder Dean Wang, Gaoshan Yuren. It was established in 1987 on Guangfu Road, Hsinchu City, and simultaneously acquired the land for the Ximaopu spiritual practice center in Fuxing Village. Currently, the most significant constructions are the world's tallest Maitreya Buddha statue and a spacious Grand Academy. The Tian'en Maitreya Buddhist Academy was named to reflect its founding under the blessings of Heaven and the protection of Maitreya Buddha, thus incorporating 'Tian'en' (Heavenly Grace) and 'Maitreya' into its name. It primarily worships Ming Ming Shang Di, all heavenly deities, Maitreya Buddha, and others.
