Visitor Essentials

The Bald Cypress Park is designed with themes of “hospitality, irrigation canals, and camphor tree forests” to delineate its spaces. At the entrance, interpretive signs introduce the bald cypress tree species and briefly explain the origin of the local place name, Fanziliao. Furthermore, since 35% of Daxi's population is Hakka, the park features plazas dedicated to Hakka and indigenous cultural imagery. In addition, the park boasts red brick restrooms symbolizing Hakka architectural craftsmanship, along with a camphor tree observation deck, children's play facilities, Hakka pavilions, a waterfront, a parking lot, a granary-style administration building, and more. The overall environment is welcoming, greatly enhancing the convenience for visitors to relax and enjoy the scenery. The park also features numerous osmanthus flowers and gardenias, making it a place rich in cultural and natural ambiance.
