Houhu Stream Eco-Park

Houhu Stream, located on the north bank of Yong'an Fishing Port, spans approximately 1.3 kilometers. Originally an agricultural irrigation canal, it is a semi-enclosed, wide body of water. Due to its sheltered location, it is not easily affected by the northeast monsoon and tides, resulting in a calm and safe water surface and a rare tranquil coastal river landscape. Naturally formed mangrove wetlands thrive along both sides and at the northern end of the river channel, featuring diverse plants such as Kandelia obovata, Grey Mangrove, Australian Pine, and Beach Morning Glory. Along the banks, visitors can also observe wetland creatures like fiddler crabs and mudskippers, making it a unique ecological highlight along the Taoyuan coast.
