Li Jing Ding

Li Jing Ding, built in 1941, was originally the official residence of the Zhongli County Office, constructed by the "Zhongli Baojia Federation." Since the Japanese colonial period, it was inhabited by Taiwanese police families. After World War II, it witnessed the Zhongli Incident, becoming a significant milestone in Taiwan's democratic development. The Taoyuan City Government Department of Cultural Affairs designated it as a historic building in 2012. Following investigative research, planning, design, and restoration work, it opened to visitors in 2019. Through exhibitions and lecture events, Li Jing Ding has become an art and cultural salon in the Zhongli area, dedicated to preserving local knowledge and addressing social issues.
