Visitor Essentials

The 'Artisan's Hall' was built in 1941 (Showa 16th year) during the Japanese colonial period as the official residence of the Daxi County Police Department, serving as police dormitories. After the Nationalist Government relocated to Taiwan, Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek established a temporary residence here. Later, it became the residence of Mr. Yu Jichang's family. They moved out many years ago, and the building has been vacant since.
