Incorporating the concept of 'organic' into the architecture, allowing wind, light, water, and greenery to respond to urban dwellers' longing for nature—this was the design philosophy of architect Lu Chun-ting (CTLU Architect & Associates) when designing the Longgang Library. One can feel this return to nature from the moment they walk on Section 4, Zhongshan East Road, passing through a tunnel of intertwined banyan trees and the Taoyuan Trade Park with its lush green slopes. Recognized as 'the most beautiful library in Taiwan,' its minimalist design resembles a giant book. Large white walls create a visual quality akin to an art museum, allowing visitors to partake in an artistic feast even before stepping into a fantastical world built of words.
