Perhaps you haven't heard of Pillow Mountain, but you've surely heard of Ginger Mother Island—a name fabricated by the hugely popular idol drama 'Fated to Love You,' which also filmed scenes here. Located across from Amping Pier, the most authentic way to experience Ginger Mother Island is to take a boat tour around the lake. Along the way, you can admire the mountain and water scenery of Shimen Reservoir, disembark to pay respects to the century-old Earth God who quietly watches over the island's more than twenty households, and appreciate driftwood art. Surrounded by swirling mist, it feels as if you've entered the Peach Blossom Spring depicted by Tao Yuanming.
