Daqing Tunnel

The newly opened Daqing Tunnel brings a fresh tourism appeal to the Daxi area of Taoyuan, adding a visual surprise to walks through the historic town. Located by the Daxi Bridge and the Dahan River, the Daqing Tunnel was once a narrow passage essential for travel between Taoyuan and Daxi. With the completion of Wuling Bridge, it no longer served as a critical transportation route. Thanks to renovation by the Taoyuan City Government and Daxi District Office, it has successfully transformed into an entrance for a recreational scenic walkway. A flagstone path also leads to Daxi Old Street, making it an emerging must-visit attraction in Daxi.
