Zhongping Story House

The Zhongping Story House is tucked away in the bustling Zhongping commercial district. It originally served as a Japanese-style dormitory for civil servants. Because the building's materials, including roof tiles, window lattices, sliding doors, and beams, are all original from the Japanese colonial period, its well-preserved state offers a glimpse into the daily lives of local residents during the Japanese colonial era. The building was registered as a historic building in 2010. After being taken over, restored, and revitalized by the Taoyuan City Government Department of Cultural Affairs, it now features art and cultural exhibitions, cultural experiences, and creative cultural products. It also offers guided tours for groups, leading visitors on a journey to glimpse the life of Zhongli from the Japanese colonial period to the agricultural era.
