Completed in 2005, the Baling Great Bridge is listed among the Northern Cross-Island Highway's three famous bridges (the other two being Luofu Bridge and Dahan Bridge), and is an essential landmark to visit in the Baling area. This 220-meter long steel bridge boasts a maximum span of 185 meters, making it the longest-spanning bridge along the Dahan River. Compared to the Old Baling Bridge, which is only 4.5 meters wide and allows only single-lane traffic, the Baling Great Bridge offers significant traffic benefits. With a total width of 11.5 meters, including 7.5 meters for two-way vehicle lanes and 1.5 meters for pedestrian walkways, it effectively alleviates traffic congestion for holiday travelers commuting to and from Lalashan and Jiaobanshan.
