Visitor Essentials

Follow the West Coast Expressway south past Zhuwei Fishing Port to discover this coastal paradise where the Laojie River and Shuangxikou River meet. The sea is beautiful, the sky is blue, shrikes soar gracefully, and mudskippers charmingly peek with their eyes. Time, like a gently turning windmill on the shore, moves slowly. Xucuo Harbor, originally an abandoned military camp, has become an ideal stopover for migratory birds due to its well-developed river system and excellent estuary topography. Covering an area of 961 hectares and stretching 10.5 kilometers, it has been designated by the Ministry of the Interior as an "Important Wetland (National Level)." Looking around, apart from the bicycle paths and mangrove boardwalks, there are almost no artificial structures. At first glance, it might seem unremarkable, but this place actually harbors many "national treasures" and a rich, pristine ecosystem, offering different surprises with every visit!
