Taiwan High Speed Rail (HSR) Taoyuan Station, situated just about 10 kilometers from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, serves as a crucial transportation hub due to its advantageous location, effectively acting as 'the gateway to the airport.' It offers efficient connections for both international visitors and Taiwanese travelers entering or departing the country, linking them to Taipei and New Taipei cities, as well as central and southern Taiwan. In recent years, passenger traffic at HSR Taoyuan Station has steadily increased, with an average of over 30,000 daily entries and exits. For the full year 2024, the total number of entries and exits has already exceeded 27 million, underscoring its pivotal role as a transit hub.
