Daxi Mausoleum

The Daxi Mausoleum was originally known as the 'Touliao Guesthouse.' It is a very simple siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard) that was initially used to store documents and archives from the Presidential Office. In 1988, after the passing of the late President Chiang Ching-kuo, he was enshrined at the 'Touliao Guesthouse,' which was then renamed the 'Daxi Mausoleum.' Inside the mausoleum, there is only President Chiang Ching-kuo's memorial hall and his office. The furnishings are also very simple, reflecting his austere personality. The plum trees, junipers, and other plants in the courtyard further enhance its elegant and fresh ambiance.
