On the northern coast of central Kinmen, there is a headland shaped like a chicken's crest, named Jiji Head. In earlier years, it served as a ferry terminal for shipping between Kinmen and Xiamen. The sandy beach area from Jiji Head to Yingshan Temple was even used as a racetrack. However, due to its strategic geographical location, it could guard Yangshan Bay and Houjiang Bay, making it an important military stronghold.
