Listed as one of Kinmen's traditional settlements, Ou-cuo Settlement also preserves a cluster of traditional Southern Fujianese architecture, yet it boasts a more rustic appearance. With 'Kuchi Pond' serving as a dividing line, the settlement is roughly divided into upper and lower sections. The upper section is mainly characterized by ancestral halls and clusters of two-courtyard large houses (erluo dacuo), while the lower section predominantly features old houses of the one-courtyard, four-wing-room style (yiluo sijiutou), displaying the characteristic 'comb-style layout' to regulate temperature.
