L-36 Outpost, Red Clay Gully Camp 3

The L-36 Outpost is located on the round-the-island cycling path at the northwest corner of Lieyu Township. Due to its location in a depression along the red clay coast, it is also known as 'Red Clay Gully Camp 3'. The camp features numerous life-sized soldier statues, depicting soldiers on parade or in class, performing pull-ups, or practicing prone shooting. A guard dog statue also stands atop the bunker, offering visitors opportunities for fun photos. Furthermore, from this vantage point, visitors can enjoy distant views of Xiamen and Shiyu Islet. Next to the outpost is Maogongshi Beach, covered with anti-landing obstacles, making it a popular spot for a side trip.
