Ouyang Zhongyuan Western-style House

A Western-style house located in the Oucu settlement, it is not only beautiful but also the first Western-style house in Kinmen. Its founder, Ouyang Zhongyuan, conducted business in places like Singapore and Malaysia at the time. After earning a substantial fortune, he sent money back to his hometown in Kinmen to construct this building. This luxurious Western-style house, completed in 1918, was hailed as 'The Grand Oucu Building' at the time. It is also considered a catalyst for the trend of overseas Chinese businesspeople returning home to build Western-style houses.
