Visitor Essentials

Built in the 1920s, this Western-style villa was constructed by Huang Zhuobin, who sent money from Singapore to his hometown for its construction. After completion, it was used as a residence. Prior to the August 23rd Artillery Battle (Second Taiwan Strait Crisis), Nationalist troops were also stationed here. After 1999, it was lent to the Ouyang Shaohua family. The building's layout is a two-story 'five-foot way' Western-style villa with a front veranda. The main walls are constructed in the style of a 'five-foot way' Western-style villa, featuring granite on the lower sections of the side and back, and three courses of decorative red bricks on the upper sections. The building's structure consists of stacked brick walls at the lower part, plastered walls at the upper part, and employs a hard-gable roof where purlins are directly supported by the gable walls.
