Victory Gate

The Victory Gate is a striking white arch-shaped building located at the intersection of Huxia Village in Little Kinmen, serving as an important visual landmark for visitors in Lieyu. The original site of this memorial gate once featured a bomb-shaped 'August 23rd Artillery Battle Monument'. It was established to commemorate the 1958 August 23rd Artillery Battle, where the ROC armed forces bravely held their ground and fought against the enemy's fierce assault of over 260,000 shells, ultimately achieving a glorious victory.
