Never Forget Ju

Following Yuzhang Road up Mount Taiwu, near Haiyin Temple, you will arrive at the 'Never Forget Ju' stone inscription, personally inscribed by President Chiang Kai-shek. These four characters were meant to inspire the military and civilians in the war-torn area, urging them to emulate the spirit of Tian Dan from the Qi State during the Warring States period, who triumphed against overwhelming odds, and to diligently create a new future. The inscription, carved into the cliff face, stands dozens of meters tall and is one of Kinmen's most famous landmarks. It has now become a popular spot where tourists eagerly take photos.
