Double Carp Lake / Double Carp Wetland Center

When viewed from above, the shape of Double Carp Lake truly resembles two embracing carp, which is how it earned its name. On clear days, gentle breezes stir ripples on the lake's surface, and reflections of traditional houses (gucuo) are mirrored in the water—a serene beauty unique to Kinmen. Double Carp Lake and Ci Lake are two major scenic areas beloved by tourists, boasting rich ecosystems and attracting flocks of waterfowl. A dedicated birdwatching trail has been established between the two lakes, allowing visitors to fully appreciate the lakeside scenery and observe its diverse birdlife.
