Banyan Garden

Centuries-old banyan trees gather on the north bank of Taihu Lake, naturally giving rise to the name 'Banyan Garden.' Most of the banyan trees in the park have been rooted here for decades; their aerial roots, having grown for over sixty years, are incredibly thick and robust. Their branches and leaves intertwine and meander across the sky, forming vast green canopies that offer a wonderful place for people to seek shade. Meeting here in the afternoon to play chess and drink tea is the most authentic scene of life in Kinmen.
