Pavilion of No Regrets

The Pavilion of No Regrets is located by the roadside between Mt. Taiwu and the Tomb of Prince Lu. It is a hexagonal pavilion with green tiles and red pillars. It was named the Pavilion of No Regrets to encourage soldiers to emulate the spirit of Wen Tianxiang, becoming individuals who are worthy of heaven, earth, and their parents, standing tall and proud. Inside the pavilion stands a marble stele. On its front is inscribed "Military Spiritual Education," a teaching left by the Father of the Nation, written by Mr. Zong Xiaochen. The back bears the Duke's self-praise written by Zhang Mojun: 'Confucius spoke of benevolence, Mencius spoke of righteousness; only when righteousness is fully practiced does benevolence manifest. What did we learn from reading the sages' books? From now on, perhaps we shall have no regrets.' This serves to explain the significance of the Pavilion of No Regrets' name.
