Liu Yuzhang Statue

In 1954, General Liu Yuzhang took over as commander of the Kinmen Defense Command. During his tenure, he commanded the 'September 3rd Artillery Battle' and led soldiers to dig trenches, excavate tunnels, and build the Taiwu Mountain climbing road, laying the foundation for Kinmen's underground defense system, which played a crucial role in the subsequent 'August 23rd Artillery Battle.'
