Fuguodun Observation Deck

Fuguodun Village is located at the easternmost tip of Kinmen Island. After passing through the traditional ancient village houses, you can reach the coastline, where you can see some well-preserved military fortifications. The coast here is rocky, with granite formations rising to form steep slopes. Its elevated position made it particularly suitable for setting up sentry posts. To defend against enemy landings, the rock slopes are covered with agaves, whose leaves have serrated edges, and broken glass bottles are fixed onto the rocks with concrete, forming an entire sharp 'razor slope'.
