Gulongtou Zhenwei Residence

It is the former residence of Li Guangxian, Admiral of the Guangdong Naval Force during the Qing Dynasty, built in the 59th year of Qianlong's reign (1794). It is now designated as a county-level historic monument. The residence features a three-section layout with extended side wings (similar to 'hulongs'), representing typical early Qing Dynasty residential architecture. The 'Taishan Stone Dare-to-Deter' (Shi Gandang) behind the house, towering and imposing, is considered the finest example of Shi Gandang in Kinmen. The residence houses over ten exhibition halls, including the Water Source Museum, Local History Museum, Fishery and Oyster Museum, and Admiral's Museum, showcasing Li Guangxian's deeds, the reconstruction process of Zhenwei Residence, daily artifacts from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and ancient agricultural, fishing, and pastoral tools.
