Marquis Mu Temple on Fenglian Mountain

This is a three-hall, ancient-style temple dedicated to Chen Yuan, the 'Benefactor of Kaiwu'. Its current appearance dates back to its reconstruction during the Qing Dynasty's Daoguang era and it is now designated as a county-level historic site. Legend says that Chen Yuan often manifested his divine power to repel Japanese pirates and protect the local people. Consequently, the imperial court ordered the construction of a grand seven-hall temple, bestowed the plaque 'Fuji', and posthumously honored him as 'Fuyou Shenghou' (Blessed Saint Marquis). This is the origin of the Marquis Mu Temple. Inside the temple, there is an ancient 'Fuji' plaque and a stele from the Qing Dynasty. Additionally, the dragon and tiger walls on both sides of the temple, as well as the exquisite Koji pottery and clay sculptures on the roof ridges, are all worth a detailed examination.
