Qionglin Cai Family Ancestral Temple

Established in 1529 (8th year of Jiajing Emperor's reign, Ming Dynasty), its lavish decorations, both inside and out, are considered the finest among Kinmen's ancestral temples. The roof ridge, gable walls, and water retaining walls all feature exquisite cut-and-paste ceramic art and clay sculptures. Below the main beam, the bracket arms are carved with the four ancestral precepts of the Cai clan: Loyalty, Filial Piety, Integrity, and Righteousness. Numerous plaques hang high in the main hall, signifying the family's distinguished lineage and prominence. A Wind Lion God statue is embedded in the outer wall behind the building, which is an uncommon practice.
