Mangrove Ecological Education Center

The Mangrove Ecological Education Center is a small but exquisite ecological education center. The existing indoor exhibition spaces include static display areas and multimedia audiovisual spaces. These utilize graphics, text, posters, lightboxes, and other methods to introduce the growth process of the mangrove's star species—*Kandelia obovata* (水筆仔), as well as the ecology of fiddler crabs, mudskippers, and waterfowl found in the mangrove forests. Through viewing windows with excellent perspectives, visitors can overlook the magnificent and beautiful expanse of mangrove forests, the estuarine seascape of the Tamsui River, the scenery of Guanyin Mountain, and the grand, vivid red Guandu Bridge.<br>As the center is located right next to the Tamsui Mangrove Nature Reserve, visitors can observe the mangrove ecological environment up close. If needed, reservations can be made in advance. Under the guidance of a nature interpreter, visitors can enter the outdoor ecological trail, personally experience the mangrove ecosystem, and get close to the waterfowl, intertidal organisms, and a lively variety of estuarine creatures within the Tamsui Mangrove Nature Reserve.
