Alishan Ecological Education Center

To promote nature conservation concepts and help visitors understand Alishan's natural ecology, the Chiayi Branch of the Taiwan Forest and Nature Conservation Agency re-planned and renovated the old Alishan Workstation and other old buildings into the Alishan Ecological Education Center, Forest Era Story Museum, and A-lí-san Wild Arts Creation Center. These buildings are located within the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area. The exhibits cover topics from the Tsou indigenous people and alpine plant introductions, forestry history, and mountain culture to literature and art, leading visitors to rediscover Alishan's multifaceted role in the relationship between humans and nature.
