In Jhihben's tropical monsoon forest, encounter diverse cultures and natural ecosystems; amidst the wisping steam of the hot springs, discover the aesthetics of life. The Jhihben National Forest Recreation Area features a tropical monsoon climate. Its main representative plants include banyan trees, Bischofia javanica, and climbing plants, which have evolved unique tropical phenomena such as strangling and entwining. The 'Thousand-Root Banyan,' formed by the aerial roots of white banyans, is a natural wonder and an important landmark of Jhihben. The buildings within the area are designed to blend into the landscape, while also embracing the diverse ethnic cultures of Taitung, presenting a harmonious fusion of nature and culture.
