It is located within the Chihnan National Forest Recreation Area, nestled in a fault valley between the Central Mountain Range and the Coastal Mountain Range. The nearby Liyu Mountain boasts a pristine forest, and coupled with the aquatic environment of Liyu Lake, it nurtures a rich diversity of plant and animal life. In its early days, the area served as a timber production and transfer station, and historical traces of past timber production can be seen everywhere, allowing visitors to experience the indelible memories of forestry.
